Sunday, August 15, 2010 @ 9:41 PM Term 3 week 7....
►Term 3 Week 7...... ______________________ During this week, we went to one of our group member's house to use the swimming pool as we did not want to disturb the members of the public that might feel uncomfortable while we are filming. At the swimming pool, we took the chance that there was no one and started on our work- taking photos. We used our group member, Xie Ning's phone to snap photo while another group memeber went into the swimming pool and act like she was drowning. We took photos for a few hours and went through each one of them. The other two group members helped by choosing the photos , creating ideas on how the swimmer should pose under water to have a ideal photo. Finally, after hours of hard work, we got an ideal one. After that, we sat down and discussed about how the poster will be like. This was our discussion- How much time we had.(created a time frame) - What we had to do in particular timings - What effects we were going to do the poster Finally.... We finished using our sunday time on the project and went to our ♥ home sweet home ♥ |

Sunday, July 25, 2010 @ 10:18 PM Term 3 ....Week 4.....
Term 3..... Week 4. .... _________________________ This week, During project work class, we discussed about what we are going to do on the posters. We have come to a conclusion that we will take a photo instead of wasting our time to find a copyright free picture online. We have decided that we will take a photo about two of our group members playing together at the pool and having fun! This will show one of the precautions : " Going with a Buddy" which will our main theme of the poster. We will be planning to meet at one of our group member's house so we would not have to disturb the public at a public pool or make them feel uncomfortable. :D . During the next lesson or this week, we have planned to settle everything including timing and meetings. This is all for this week! Thank you for reading !! :D

Term 3 Week 3.... Doing on the project on water sports...... ___________________________________________________ Today we did 2 sheets of paper with 4 pages. On those paper, we did the splitting of the work. This is our jobs : Xin Yao - 1. Find the suitable pictures from the posters ( taken with camera/copyright free pictures ) 2. Reminder to Kim for what to do on week 6 blog entry(points) 3. Oral presentation(term 3 -4 Week 2 ) Xie Ning - 1. Putting together the poster using the photoshop 2. Planning the design for the poster 3. Week 5 reminder to Kim on what to do on week blog entry (points) 4. Oral presentation(term 3 -4 Week 2 ) Janice - PowerPoint Presentation about poster project - Oral presentation(term 3 -4 Week 2 ) Kim- Blog entries every week with points reminded by members 2.Oral presentation(term 3 -4 Week 2 ) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Also, we wrote little details about what our project was about and like whether we are going to do it in a poster or something else. We also had to explain why we were going to do it that way. My group , star seers, have decided on doing a poster as we think it provides clearer informations and when we do our detailed research, we will understand the topic better. Week ?...... We did the fish bone diagram and also the survey for the water sports ________________________________________________________________ We did a survey or quiz on water sports that we have been researching on for the last term. We did quite alot of questions that we thought would be good questions for the other teams to answer. On that day , we showed how our team had good teamwork by putting our minds together to brain storm for better questions and used the best of the best. Then after that , teacher taught us how to calculate many things on microsoft excel... Which we all had a rather hard time catching up because teacher was very fast... But after at the end of the day, we knew everything! Reflection _____________ For our group , we think that it was a new experience and was very fun because we have never been so serious on the computer before. And we are sure that it would help us in our future jobs next time. :D Signing off , Star Seers |

@ 8:43 PM Star Seers learning journey.....
Week ?..... We learned about Cyberwellness __________________________________________ On one particular day, 2 weeks ago...Maybe on the 13 of april, we learned about cyber wellness. About how people have been bullied by online "predators" that we do not even know who she/ he is by watching videos. Lots of them ... And after that , we did a survey or rather a quiz on the cyber wellness asking us about whether under a particular situation of cyber bullying what would we do and like asking us to choose from a few choices what solutions or ways that we should do.. ♠ Reflections ♠ _________________ On the cyber wellness videos: We think that the video has shown us how people would suffer under cyber bullying. It also shows that this situation can be rather serious until the extend that it would ruin lifes and humiliate someone until they fall in depression. By looking at this , we know that if we are victims, we should really tell someone rather than feel that it is embarrassing to tell someone about it. Its better than being so humiliated until we start to think crazily and take our own lives. This reminds us about how one student from the states that took his own life due to telling someone he thought he could trust online. But whatever he told the other party was on the internet and on the school web the next day... And because of all that he could not take it and took his own life... And now his dad is telling his story to other children in countries bravely each time to prevent any kid from sufferring the same fate as his own son. This shows us that whenever we do something silly like that , it would hurt many people around us too. For the survey , It was rather interesting as it would make us make up our mind by choosing from a few question. There was one that asked us whether it is correct to go to porn websites which i think would really let the teacher understand the student better whether he/ she is in the danger of becoming a bad character or not. Hopefully everyone chose the correct answer if not they would betetr take care of themselves :D. Ok... This is all that our group can say... Signing Off, ♥ Stær Seers... ♥

Week 6.... We did the slideshow! ____________________________ On sunday, we met at Bugis MRT in the morning once again. Then we went to the same place (bugis junction food court) and prepared to do the slideshow. Xie Ning , our group Leader brang the laptop and thumb drive while the other group members brought papers. After that , we then opened the file that contained our group research, and started to study it. This is so as to let us have deeper understanding or idea of what we are doing on. After a few minutes of studying the research and refreshing our minds... Everyone had each a own piece of idea in our minds, then we started to discuss each other's ideas to see what we were thinking of and hopefully get the best one. But everyone's idea was equally brilliant so then we combined each other's idea and constructed sentences so as to put onto the slideshow. After approximately an hour or so,we then completed the slide shows ! :) Our group leader said that she will go back to do the pictures. All of our group members agreed and we checked the words for mistakes for the last time and finally.... We went home. Signing off , • Star Seers • back to top? |
